Ontario reports 580 more COVID-580 cases — 124 fewer patients than the previous day — and two more deaths, according to its latest report released Sunday morning. Ontario has given 23,884 doses since its last daily update, and 21,870,930 have been given as of 8 p.m. The night before.
According to Star’s vaccine tracking machine, 11,271,473 people in Ontario have received at least one shot. It is active in about 86.5 percent of the eligible population aged 12 and over. The province says 10,599,457 people have completed both vaccinations, and 81.3 percent of the eligible population aged 12 and over. The province reports 296 cases of Kovid-19 in non-vaccinated individuals, 38 in partial vaccinations and 173 in fully vaccinated individuals.
There are 810 schools in Ontario and 4,844 schools in the province have reported 16.72 percent cases of Covid. Of the 2,282 school-related COVID patients in Ontario, 127 new cases were reported Friday.
